Our Fees and Charges

At Doolan Wagner & Callaghan we are committed to maintaining fees and charges that are at all times competitive and reasonable.

Our fees are calculated by either a pro-rata hourly rate based on the solicitor’s experience or by the Family Court’s scale rate. For more information on the Family Court’s scale please click here. An initial consultation fee is charged – we do not offer a free first consultation as there is a considerable amount of legal advice provided at this meeting.

Each ongoing client is required to enter into a Costs Agreement before further work is undertaken on his or her matter. Please contact us to obtain details of our fees and conditions.

We provide clients with a regular account which is usually paid on a monthly basis. We can accommodate managed payment plans for clients who are in difficult financial circumstances or who are reliant on receiving a family law settlement to pay their legal costs.

Payment Options

We accept payments via the following methods:

• Cheque - in person or by mail
• Credit card - by fax or telephone or in person
• Direct deposit - through internet/phone banking or at any branch of the National Australia Bank
• Cash
