Experience:

Jodie has been involved in the Family Law Committee and also in volunteering her time providing legal advice at the local parenting centre.

Prior to joining Doolan Wagner & Callaghan in mid-2004, Jodie was employed in a large CBD based specialist Family Law firm and also worked for the Australian Law Reform Commission undertaking professional legal research in the area of human genetics. Jodie now practices solely in the area of family law and has a particular interest in, and a thorough understanding of, child support matters.

Jodie has experience in conducting matters before Judges and Registrars in the Family Court, Supreme Court and Local Court Family Matters. Jodie possesses professional legal research skills combined with strong oral and written communication skills which assist her in keeping up-to-date with the latest legal developments and in negotiating optimum outcomes for her clients.

Jodie has particular interest in, and a deep understanding of, all aspects of parenting matters including disputed residence, relocation of children, contact arrangements and specific issues (including long term and day-to-day issues). Jodie’s sensitive and practical approach to these issues means that she is well placed to provide expert advice.
